Purpose | to promote team spirit, co-ordination, time management, problem solving
Time | 3 hours approx.
Location | Select from one of our restaurants or local partners, depending on number of participants.
Format | This is an activity that focuses on group problem solving, using expressions.
The participants, supervised by chef-instructors are divided into teams and take turns in competing in skill and speed whilst preparing the dishes. Meanwhile, those who are not on the "cooking stage" will be involved in the game "What’s on my mind?" Sitting in a circle, everyone will have a chef's hat on which has the name of an Italian dish written on it. Everyone will read what is written on the other participants’ hats but you won’t know what’s written on your own hat... with the help of the group and leaders they will each take turns to guess the dish. The game is to mime the ingredients much like the game ‘Charades’. The game is great for developing nonverbal communication and encouraging teamwork. It can also be connected to "Bella pasta" or a cooking class.
All the participants seated at the table will then taste the dishes made.
